The Director manages the Department of Children, Youth, and Families Office of Grants and Contracts. This General Counsel position oversees contract development, legal review, grant workflows, data sharing agreements, and compliance. The work supports ethical, efficient, responsive contracting and legally enforceable agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract development, management, legal review, and advice
- Manage DCYF grant workflow and document systems
- Support grant-making through training and technical assistance
- Represent DCYF on interagency contract committees
- Supervise contract attorneys and advise the Chief Compliance Officer
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Current license to practice law in Minnesota
- At least seven years practicing attorney experience with contract law
- Knowledge of state and federal data privacy laws
- At least one year supervising or leading in related law
