Job Specifics: <br /><br />The clinic is seeking locum coverage for a maternity leave.<br /><br />Physician: Dr. Jocelyn Finstad<br /><br />Dates: January 25, 2027 to November 30, 2027<br /><br />Partial coverage for a portion of the period is welcome as well.<br /><br />EMR: MedAccess<br /><br />Compensation Model: LFP - 75/25<br /><br />Average Daily Patient Load: 25<br /><br />Privileges: Associate<br /><br />Additional Specialties: Long-term care, palliative care<br /><br />Clinic Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am-4:30 PM and Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM<br /><br />Free parking is available for physicians<br /><br />The panel consists of about 1400 patients with varying ages and medical complexity (no maternity, hospital, or ER. Long term care and home visits are optional).<br /><br />Weekdays are typically reserved for a mixture of in-clinic and virtual appointments; although, the schedule is flexible to the covering physicians preference.<br /><br />The clinic is a full-scope family practice in Vernons city center. Currently, there are 2 family physicians at the clinic (a longitudinal, full time, family physician and a longitudinal locum who provides care once weekly). The patient population is full-spectrum.<br /><br /> The locum physician must: <br /><br />-be licensed to practice medicine in BC<br /><br />-be certified by the CCFP<br /><br />-have malpractice liability insurance with the CMPA<br /><br />-be enrolled in the Medical Services Plan of BC (MSP)<br /><br />Work Location: In person
