Diagnose hydraulic and electrical systems as a 310T Truck Coach Apprentice with Miller Waste Systems in Ottawa East on afternoon shifts. Maintain company vehicles and reduce equipment downtime.
This permanent full-time apprenticeship reports to the Shop Foreperson at 1815 Bantree Street. You will service waste vehicles and trucks, complete repairs, conduct road tests, and support reliable fleet performance. Work runs Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 12:00am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete vehicle maintenance and repairs to Ministry and company standards
- Diagnose faults efficiently to minimize equipment downtime
- Repair trucks and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
- Respond to on-road service calls when required
Requirements:
- Registered 310T apprentice with required licences
- Experience diagnosing faults and repairing hydraulic systems
- Hands-on experience maintaining electrical systems
- Valid G Driver's Licence; DZ Licence is an asset
- Ability to follow safety protocols and Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements
