Lead railway transit infrastructure design at Metrolinx, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, project integration, and delivery across the project lifecycle. The Manager will oversee capital railway transit projects for Metrolinx’s Union+ team. You will direct design development, coordinate technical and estimating teams, and support procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. The work requires project management, budget and risk management, and collaboration with contractors, engineers, architects, and stakeholders. Knowledge of live rail corridors, access planning, track protection, and the USRC rail corridor supports this mandate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control scope across definition, design, construction, commissioning, and close-out
- Lead, coach, and direct multidisciplinary project team members
- Coordinate design, technical, estimating, and support teams
- Resolve stakeholder design issues and manage project impacts
- Oversee Alliance Partners and contractors against contractual scope
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent education and experience
- Project management experience across construction project delivery stages
- Experience collaborating directly with contractors and technical professionals
- Knowledge of Progressive Procurement Delivery and Alliance contracts
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and business-case writing skills
