The IPAC Advisor manages, coordinates, and guides UHS's Infection Prevention and Control program. Working with clinical leadership, departmental managers, and multidisciplinary teams, this full-time position strengthens compliance, coordinates education, and supports outbreak management. The role translates audits, trends, inspections, and public health requirements into practical improvements for care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the annual IPAC education plan
- Deliver orientation, refresher, huddle, resident, visitor, and volunteer training
- Analyse infection trends, audits, and inspection results
- Support the Outbreak Management Team and outbreak activities
- Liaise with Public Health officials and physicians
Requirements:
- Post-secondary health or related education
- IPAC Canada-endorsed course completion
- CBIC Infection Prevention and Control certification
- Experience with infectious diseases, microbiology, epidemiology, and program management
- Knowledge of Public Health and Ministry of Long-Term Care standards
