Elevate youth volleyball at the Maverick Volleyball Club as a part-time Tournament Convenor. Coordinate successful tournaments while enhancing organizational and communication skills in a hybrid role.
As the Tournament Convenor, you will report directly to the Program Manager and manage all resources for Mavs-run tournaments. Your role includes planning, executing, and overseeing both RTC and other events throughout the year, with responsibilities that ensure a seamless experience for participants and volunteers alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute Maverick organized tournaments
- Book officials and recruit volunteers as necessary
- Provide on-site support during tournament days
- Communicate tournament details with teams and squads
- Prepare an Emergency Action Plan for injuries
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Experience in problem solving and conflict resolution
- Strong communication skills for multi-stakeholder coordination
- Technology proficiency for tournament management
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
