Maintain sanitary camp facilities as a Camp Housekeeper, using cleaning procedures, safe chemical handling, and organized laundry practices in person.
This Camp Housekeeper role supports assigned facilities through detailed cleaning, disinfection, laundry, and room preparation. You will follow schedules, sanitation standards, site safety procedures, and camp policies with minimal supervision. Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, showers, quarters, offices, and common spaces
- Prepare rooms by changing linens, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies
- Wash, dry, fold, and replace camp laundry items
- Empty waste containers and follow site disposal procedures
- Maintain orderly and sanitary assigned facilities
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of chemical handling and infection control
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
