Diagnostic imaging and anesthesia skills define this full-time Registered Veterinary Technician position at MOVESH in Oakville, Ontario. Some Saturdays may be required.
As a Specialty RVT, you will support Diagnostic Imaging alongside RVTs, Animal Care Attendants, and board-certified specialists. The work includes patient assessment, emergency triage, anesthesia monitoring, clinical procedures, laboratory testing, and radiographs. You will also support surgery, pharmacy, and in-hospital treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical assessments and monitor vital signs
- Support emergency triage and patient recovery
- Place catheters, collect samples, and run laboratory tests
- Take diagnostic radiographs and support clinical procedures
- Prepare surgical suites and administer guided treatments
Requirements:
- Complete a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program
- Be eligible for provincial registration
- Demonstrate anesthesia, pharmacology, and patient care knowledge
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
- Communicate effectively and handle animals safely
