Lead corporate taxation at Maple Leaf Foods through income tax accounting, compliance, and technical leadership across the finance function. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders. Reporting to the Vice President, Taxation, the Director provides leadership and technical expertise across tax strategies. The position manages income tax accounting, compliance, tax planning, controversy matters, and ad hoc projects. It also develops talent within the tax team. Key Responsibilities:
Lead two direct reports and manage tax team activities Oversee consolidated income tax provisions and timely delivery Implement process improvements and efficiency opportunities Partner with finance teams on forecasting and reporting Manage audits, planning projects, and CRA relationships Requirements:
CPA, preferably with a CA background CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course or MTax degree Minimum 10 years Canadian income tax experience At least five years at a public company Experience managing professional teams and international tax structures Bring Canadian income tax expertise, leadership, and collaboration to Maple Leaf Foods’ corporate tax function and finance team.
