In this role at Manitoulin, you will engage in unloading and loading freight, using handheld scanners to track shipments. You'll distribute freight to local drivers and manage warehouse maintenance, ensuring a safe working environment. Computer proficiency is required for label handling and tracking shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload and load freight with handheld scanner
- Distribute freight to local drivers efficiently
- Mark materials with identifying information
- Count and weigh items for accuracy
- Maintain warehouse safety standards daily
Requirements:
- WHMIS/Dangerous Goods Certificate, Forklift certification
- Proven problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Experience with AS400 system is a plus
- Reliable transportation with clean driving record
