We are looking to contract a 5-ton DZ owner-operator for City Pickup & Delivery with knowledge of Sudbury and its surrounding areas. This Owner-Operator will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of freight within the area, while adhering to standards and requirements as outlined in the contract.
Qualifications
Eligibility Criteria:
- Business Opportunity: We wish to partner with an independent incorporated business to provide a current model truck and qualified operator to provide local pick-up and delivery services within the service area of the Sudbury Terminal.
- The Services require business flexibility but are generally required over 5 days per week and may include some weekends.
- Operational flexibility is a must.
- The qualified operator is responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements, including Pre and post-trip inspections of equipment and may include the delivery of periodic dock services to load and unload freight as required.
- Operate within the standards and requirements as outlined in the services contract.
- The Business must provide WCB Coverage to its Operators.
- Responsible for the pickup and delivery of freight within the Sudbury service area, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Efficiently and safely picking up and delivering LTL freight.

Additional Information
Operator Qualifications:
- DZ Licence
- 1 year of experience
- Responsible for loading/unloading freight
- Good understanding of the Hours of Service regulations
- Forklift ticket is an asset
- TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift experience are an asset
Equipment Requirements:
- Mechanically Fit 5 Ton Straight Truck
- ELD Compatible Truck specifications that align with the Carrier's Equipment
The Services Contract Includes the Following:
- Productivity-Based Incentive Fee for Service Rate Schedule
- Can generate a Big gross settlement opportunity for the right business partner.
- Fixed Price Fuel Program
- Optional Fleet Insurance Program
