Mainroad Group, a leader in BC's highway maintenance for over 30 years, seeks Highway Maintenance Driver/Labourers. This position is seasonal and requires working various shifts, including nights and weekends during the winter season, approximately from November 2026 to April 2027. Candidates must be on-call during severe weather events to ensure roads are safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sanding, plowing, and salting trucks during winter weather
- Assist with snow and ice control on highways
- Drive trucks to haul materials for maintenance
- Clear litter and debris from roadways
- Perform general highway maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence with Air Brake Endorsement
- Previous highway maintenance or construction experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety in all operations
