Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair building envelope, utilities, services, infrastructure, and related monitoring devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, dock and door systems, lighting, and other facility-related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
- Accurately complete work orders, inspections, reports, and associated documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors as required.
- Coordinate facilities work with production and other internal departments to minimize disruption.
- Maintain 5S standards, including a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Respond to breakdowns and facility-related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and work orders.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for continuous improvement implementation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Necessary to Do the Job:
- Immediate, open position.
- $40.00 - $48.20 per hour.
- Licensed Millwright (443A) required.
- Minimum five (5) years of mechanical maintenance and repair experience.
- Dual‐ticketed Millwright/Electrician considered an asset.
- Grade 12 English and Math, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in facilities or building maintenance is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical layouts, building construction drawings, and schematics.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work on the production floor and provide support over the phone.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and extended hours as required.
- Demonstrated contributions to improvements in safety, ergonomics, cost reduction, quality, and process stability.
