The client is seeking a senior Power BI developer, 8+ years,to support the CDAC project through final delivery in 2027. The projectintegrates data from several legacy systems and the new group insurance systeminto an Azure environment, then exposes it through a Power BI data mart. Therole spans the full chain: requirements analysis, modeling, semantic model,workspace and gateway configuration with the Power BI foundation team, testing,deployment and post-production support. The mandate requires a testing andsource control practice rarely found in BI profiles, which sets the targetapart from a report developer. User support and training round out a primarilytechnical role.
Target candidate: a senior Power BI developer who hasdelivered complete semantic models (DAX, Power Query, gateways) in largeorganizations, fed by ETL on Azure, and who applies software engineeringdiscipline to their deliverables: automated testing, continuous integration,Git. Exposure to group or life insurance, or financial services, speeds uponboarding.
Key Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of Power BI (Desktop, Service,components, gateway)
Development on the Power BI platform: reports, semanticmodels and data gateways
Excellent knowledge of ETL
Knowledge of relational and dimensional models
Excellent knowledge of testing approaches: TDD, UI testing,automated testing and continuous integration
Knowledge of source control and deployment platforms, suchas GitHub and GitHub Actions
Knowledge of Azure data storage environments (DataStorage,Data Lake, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, SynapseAnalytics)
Functional knowledge
Good knowledge of the industry (competency checked on theform)
Soft skills: resourcefulness and autonomy, teamwork and tasksharing, pleasant personality, working in an environment with standardizedprocesses
Competencies checked on the form: managingcomplexity, results orientation, analysis and synthesis
