Location - Calgary, CA
A Network Engineer is responsible for the setup, configuration, running network deployments and buildouts. This includes but is not limited to hands-on work in a datacenter lab environment, buildouts, deployments, configuring network elements to pass traffic through the test setup, configuring a traffic generator, troubleshooting issues with the baseline test setup, gathering test data, analyzing the test data for root causes, and building test reports while working with stakeholders and DCS teams.
MUST:
- CCNP level networking
- Python
Good to have:
- Powershell basics
Skills:
- Routing protocols such as BGP, Link State Algorithm, VXLAN, EBGP, MPLS, RSVP with Traffic Engineering knowledge as well as practical experience including troubleshooting and good to have design experience
- Python Scripting Level Basic coding experience
- 4+ years experience in network buildout deployments
- 4+ years experience with Datacenter Switches and Routers (Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
- Experience with one or more Network element OS (EOS, NXOS, IOS, JUNOS, SONiC)
- Experience with Layer 2 Protocols (VLAN, Bridges, Ethernet)
- Good knowledge in Python or PowerShell scripting
- Previous MS experience is a PLUS
- Good change management network troubleshooting skills
- Firewall management
