Your new role:
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Director of Development will lead the overall development function and oversee a portfolio of active and future projects across multiple asset classes. This role requires an accomplished development professional who can balance strategic leadership with hands‑on execution. You will be responsible for leading development teams, advancing development opportunities, managing project performance, and ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with financial, schedule, and quality objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and oversight across the development portfolio.
- Leading and mentoring Development Managers and development professionals.
- Driving project performance from acquisition and planning through approvals, construction, and turnover.
- Developing strategies to maximize project profitability and value creation.
- Building relationships with municipalities, consultants, investors, and industry stakeholders.
- Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Establishing reporting, governance, and operational processes that support future growth.
