The Machine Operator works across the Grinding Room and Millshop departments. Responsibilities include tooling setup, blade sharpening, moulder operation, measurements, and quality checks. The work supports assembly standards and on-time production for Loewen's window and door manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sharpen profile, straight, and circular cutter heads
- Set up and maintain tooling for plant requirements
- Prepare templates, knives, and saw blades
- Operate moulders within required measurement tolerances
- Keep work areas clean and address emerging problems
Requirements:
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- Focus on quality, precision, and accurate results
- Read safety, operating, maintenance, AutoCAD, and moulder documents
- Use tape measures and calipers accurately
- Lift up to 50 to 75 pounds
