As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will support Central Pharmacy Services, a Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart division. Your work enables Pharmacists to focus on clinical care through safe, efficient prescription processing. The position involves regulated technical responsibilities, medication checking, corrections, and controlled-substance reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check prepared medications for accuracy, quality, and legal compliance
- Complete appropriate corrections when prescription issues are identified
- Count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications accurately
- Check products efficiently to maintain workflow and delivery schedules
- Protect patient privacy and confidentiality under applicable regulations
Requirements:
- Licensed and registered RPhT in good standing
- Maintain liability insurance to practice legally
- Minimum one year continuous pharmacy environment experience
- High-volume filling experience preferred; PacMed or PacVision experience valued
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail
