Mozilla seeks a Senior Software Engineer to operate reliable cloud services using Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and observability tools. On the Ecosystem Services Team, you will own backend services from development through production operations. Your work supports platforms including Mozilla VPN, Relay, Monitor, AutoPush, and Remote Settings. You will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, frontend, product, UX, and design partners. Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain backend services, integrations, APIs, and data contracts Improve cloud environments, monitoring, alerting, and production reliability Resolve production issues with Cloud Engineering and support teams Handle releases, dependency updates, and stakeholder work requests Apply AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully while maintaining quality Requirements:
Four or more years developing software with backend specialization Strong Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or Rust service experience Hands-on Google Cloud Platform and Docker pipeline experience Experience with Sentry, Grafana, or comparable observability tooling Ownership mindset including on-call or off-hours production support Bring cloud operations, monitoring expertise, and backend ownership to secure Mozilla services supporting Firefox and global users.
