Visionpool Business Services seeks a UNIX Mid Range Support Consultant for day-to-day administration, management, and technical support. The work includes UNIX systems, Linux RedHat, Oracle, Veritas NetBackup, capacity planning, and performance tuning. You will support 24/7 operational processes, vendors, and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support UNIX-based systems
- Monitor CPU, memory, LPAR, and disk utilization
- Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery services
- Install patches, releases, agents, and system software
- Document configurations, thresholds, reports, and maintenance activities
Requirements:
- Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree
- Minimum five years in UNIX Mid Range Support
- ITIL Foundation or Service Manager certification
- Demonstrated record of continuous improvement
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina
