The Substation High Voltage Electrical Technician plays a crucial role in our Power Technical Services department. This position involves extensive high voltage electrical field work, infrared scanning, and system optimization. Your expertise will assist in electrical studies, on-site troubleshooting, and project management, ensuring every job is executed within safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high voltage electrical field work and maintenance
- Perform technical studies on electrical systems
- Provide troubleshooting support both on-site and in-house
- Utilize AutoCAD for electrical drawings in installations
- Review and finalize technical reports and estimates
Requirements:
- Electrical P. Eng. or EIT certification
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- 309A License or trades certificate
- Strong skills in AutoCAD, ETAP, MS Office
- InfraRed Level 1 certification is an asset
