Lead high-speed electro-optic link verification at Lightmatter, combining photonics expertise with hands-on laboratory characterization and debug. This senior Photonics Engineer owns verification across multiple silicon and system programs. You will develop channel models, correlate measurements, and address signal integrity and link-performance challenges. The work spans optical hardware, electrical hardware, SerDes, and silicon bring-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Characterize and debug high-speed electrical and optical hardware
- Build channel models and correlate bench measurements
- Own link budgets and verification methodology
- Analyze eye diagrams, BER, jitter, and equalization
- Support silicon bring-up and root-cause investigations
Requirements:
- MS or PhD with eight-plus years, or BS/MS with ten-plus years
- Verification strategy ownership for a complete silicon or system program
- Expertise in 56G, 112G, or 224G-plus serial links
- Strong Python or MATLAB automation experience
- Proficiency with VNAs, oscilloscopes, BERTs, TDRs, and modeling tools
- Apply photonics, SerDes, signal integrity, and measurement expertise to Lightmatter’s advanced AI infrastructure programs.
