Lifemark Seniors Wellness seeks a Casual Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant in Orillia, ON. Support treatment plans for seniors and lead dynamic exercise classes for residents every week.
As a key member of our care team, you will assist the supervising physiotherapist in implementing treatment plans for residents in long-term care settings. Expect to perform treatments such as gait training, balance exercises, and more, while ensuring a safe environment throughout the gym and treatment areas. Communication with the physiotherapist about resident status is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing treatment plans under physiotherapist guidance
- Conduct exercise classes for resident groups
- Prepare and clean equipment post-treatment
- Maintain a safe and tidy gym environment
- Document daily treatments in our web-based system
Requirements:
- PTA/OTA diploma or Kinesiology degree
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred
- Valid Vulnerable Sector check (within 6 months)
- Tuberculin clearance proof required
- Strong communication skills
