M&A Project Manager in Ottawa

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior IT Project Manager (M&A Integration & IT Transformation) for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

Ottawa-based candidates able to work four days per week on-site at the customer office in Ottawa are preferred. Remote candidates may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Tasks

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects associated with acquisitions, integrations and business transformation
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, status reports and delivery documentation
• Coordinate cross-functional IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors and third-party service providers
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests to ensure successful delivery
• Support the transition of acquired assets into standalone operating environments, including technology integration and operational readiness
• Coordinate infrastructure, cloud and enterprise technology initiatives as required by project scope
• Facilitate project meetings, communicate progress to leadership and elevate issues proactively
• Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives, technical requirements and agreed timelines
• Support transition planning, implementation activities and handover to operational teams

Key Qualifications

• Approximately 8-10 years of project management experience with a strong track record of successful IT project delivery
• Demonstrated experience managing complex IT projects, enterprise implementations, technology transitions or integrations post M&A
• Experience working in a Microsoft technology environment, ideally with Microsoft Azure

Qualifications

• Strong project planning, risk management, stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience coordinating technical teams and managing multiple project dependencies
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration or establishing standalone IT environments
• Experience managing cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization or enterprise technology deployments
• Microsoft platform implementation or migration experience
• Exposure to networking technologies, including Cisco
• Experience working across multiple business units or geographically distributed teams

Compensation

Hourly Rate Negotiable
