The Pearson Adult and Career Centre is hiring a Dental Assisting teacher for its 1,500-hour DEP program. You will teach the Quebec vocational education curriculum, combining classroom instruction, clinical training, laboratory activities, and internships. The position runs from April 2027 to July 1, 2028, preparing students for dental careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare curriculum-aligned instructional materials and lessons
- Deliver theoretical and hands-on dental training
- Supervise clinical and laboratory student activities
- Support students during dental facility internships
- Evaluate progress and provide constructive feedback
Requirements:
- Dental Assisting DEP or recognized equivalent credential
- At least five years of clinical chairside experience
- Experience with current dental equipment and procedures
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to teach practical training in laboratories
