Our client, a well-established law firm in Quebec, is seeking a lawyer with at least 7 years of experience in commercial and construction litigation to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for a legal professional looking to take ownership of their files while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The Role
- Managing a variety of commercial and construction litigation matters, including:
- Advising and representing clients in commercial disputes and construction-related litigation
- Developing legal strategies tailored to the specific issues of each case
- Drafting legal opinions, demand letters, and court proceedings
- Preparing and conducting examinations and representing clients before the courts
- Participating in negotiations and negotiating out-of-court settlements
- Independently managing files while maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to the growth of the practice and business development initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
- Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial and construction litigation
- Experience in professional liability litigation is considered an asset
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
- Strong command of French, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
- Interest in client development and business growth
