Our client, a leading international law firm, is looking to add a Mergers & Acquisitions lawyer to its Montreal team. This opportunity is ideal for a transactional lawyer looking to work on complex and strategic matters for a sophisticated client base that includes corporations, institutional investors and entrepreneurs, both in Canada and internationally. The Role
You will be involved in all stages of M&A transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of businesses, strategic investments and various corporate transactions. You will have the opportunity to: Participate in transactions involving private and public companies Draft, review and negotiate purchase and sale agreements as well as various transactional documents Assist with transaction structuring and due diligence Draft and negotiate shareholder agreements, investment agreements and other commercial agreements Advise clients on legal and commercial matters related to their transactions Collaborate with specialized teams, including tax, financing and regulatory Build direct relationships with clients and other parties involved in transactions Profile
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in mergers and acquisitions or transactional corporate law Member in good standing of the Québec Bar Experience drafting and negotiating transactional and commercial agreements Excellent analytical, drafting and negotiation skills Strong business judgment and understanding of commercial considerations Autonomy, attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken Why Consider This Opportunity?
