Our client, a renowned boutique litigation firm, is seeking a lawyer with 1 to 5 years of experience to join its team.
This is an opportunity to work in a high-level legal environment alongside experienced lawyers on complex and strategic matters for sophisticated clients, particularly in commercial litigation, class actions and construction law.
Your Role
Under the supervision of the firm’s partners, you will play an active role in managing and handling a variety of complex litigation matters. You will have the opportunity to:
- Working on significant civil and commercial litigation matters
- Participating in class actions and construction litigation matters
- Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis
- Drafting pleadings, memoranda, legal opinions and other legal documents
- Contributing to the development of strategies tailored to clients’ legal and business objectives
- Working closely with partners and other team members throughout the conduct of files
- Participating in the representation of clients before the courts
Your Profile
- Member in good standing of the Québec Bar
- 1 to 5 years of experience in litigation
- Strong interest in commercial litigation, class actions and construction law
- Fully bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken
- Excellent legal research, analytical and drafting skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of rigour
- Sound judgment and strong business acumen
- Autonomous, intellectually curious and proactive
- Strong team player with a desire to develop your practice in a challenging and stimulating environment
