We are Lenovo. We do what we say. We own what we do. We WOW our customers. Lenovo is a US$83 billion revenue global technology powerhouse, ranked #153 in the Fortune Global 500, and serving millions of customers every day in 180 markets. Focused on a bold vision to deliver Smarter Technology for All, Lenovo has built on its success as the world’s largest PC company with a full-stack portfolio of AI-enabled, AI-ready, and AI-optimized devices (PCs, workstations, smartphones, tablets), infrastructure (server, storage, edge, high performance computing and software defined infrastructure), software, solutions, and services.

About the Team: Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider (CSP) team partners with the world's largest hyperscale and cloud providers to design the next generation of data center infrastructure. We develop industry-leading compute, AI, storage, and networking platforms that power large-scale cloud services and AI workloads worldwide.

We are seeking a Senior Data Center System Architect to drive end-to-end architecture for next-generation server, AI, HPC, storage, and networking solutions. This is a highly visible technical leadership role where you will influence future platform strategy, collaborate directly with hyperscale customers, and shape the technologies deployed at massive scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Define Next-Generation Infrastructure: Lead system architecture development from concept through production for cloud-scale data center platforms. Architect solutions across General Purpose Compute Servers, AI and GPU-Accelerated Systems, High-Performance Computing (HPC) Platforms, High-Availability Storage Solutions, Networking and Switch Systems. Define end-to-end platform architecture, including CPU, GPU, memory, storage, networking, PCIe, CXL, power, cooling, and system management.
  • Drive Technical Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term platform strategy and technology roadmaps. Perform architecture tradeoff analysis across performance, scalability, power efficiency, reliability, thermal design, serviceability, and cost. Develop system topologies, block diagrams, hardware requirements, and architecture specifications.
  • Deliver Industry-Leading Solutions: Define high-availability and RAS architectures, including redundancy, fault isolation, recovery, and serviceability. Partner closely with electrical, mechanical, thermal, firmware, validation, and software teams to optimize complete system designs. Lead architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout product development, validation, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Engage with Customers and Ecosystem Partners: Collaborate directly with hyperscale and cloud customers to translate infrastructure requirements into differentiated platform solutions. Influence future platform capabilities through engagement with CPU, GPU, networking, storage, and silicon partners. Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify emerging industry trends and technology opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

  • Deep understanding of modern data center architecture, including CPUs, GPUs, memory, PCIe, CXL, storage, and networking technologies.
  • Demonstrated success defining complex system architectures and leading cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in system performance, power, thermal design, platform integration, reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS).
  • Experience delivering products from architecture definition through validation and production deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Hyperscale cloud infrastructure or large-scale data center experience.
  • Expertise with Intel, AMD, and/or ARM server architectures.
  • Experience designing AI, GPU, and HPC platforms.
  • Knowledge of PCIe Gen6/Gen7, CXL, InfiniBand, and high-speed Ethernet technologies.
  • Familiarity with Open Compute Project (OCP) and rack-scale architectures.
  • Experience with liquid-cooled and high-density AI infrastructure.
  • Direct customer-facing experience with hyperscale providers and strategic technology partners.
  • Exceptional technical leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
