Role Overview
Our Client is a well-established heavy machinery company based in Grafton, Ontario, seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Mechanic Helper to join their team. The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance, dismantling, and handling of heavy construction machinery and equipment in a hands-on, outdoor industrial environment
Key Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with basic maintenance, repairs, and servicing of heavy machinery and construction equipment.
- Support the dismantling and handling of equipment including excavators, loaders, compactors, and similar machinery.
- Use basic hand and power tools safely under supervision.
- Assist with inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Help with loading, moving, and securing machinery and equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and guidelines.
Required Experience & Skills
- Previous experience working with construction machinery, heavy equipment, or in a mechanical environment is required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor and industrial environment.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Prior mechanic, heavy equipment, or machinery maintenance experience is a strong asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application.
