The Lax Kw'alaams Administration Department seeks a Casual Custodian for routine janitorial duties. You will maintain workspaces, public areas, restrooms, kitchens, and storage areas while reporting maintenance or safety concerns. The position requires independent work, organization, reliability, and proper chemical handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and maintain assigned floors
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, windows, doors, and surfaces
- Restock supplies and maintain organized janitorial storage areas
- Empty trash, replace liners, and clean furniture and fixtures
- Report hazards, repairs, and maintenance concerns to supervisors
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience is an asset
- Availability Monday to Friday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
