As an Accounting Technician reporting to the Finance Manager, you will prepare accounting deliverables for LawZero and support Mila, the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute. Your work will cover transaction compliance, data accuracy, employee expenses, payroll backup, and collaboration with accounting partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, allocate, enter, and pay complex supplier invoices
- Validate contracts, issue invoices, and follow up on receivables
- Verify employee expenses and record credit card journal entries
- Prepare month-end schedules and bank reconciliations
- Contribute to process improvements and payroll backup
Requirements:
- Accounting DEC or bachelor's degree in Accounting
- At least two years as an Accounting Technician
- Accounts payable, receivable, month-end, payroll, and expense experience
- Accuracy, analytical ability, organization, and attention to detail
- French and English proficiency; Google Workspace or Microsoft Office knowledge
