Support residents at a Charlottetown nursing home as a Health Care Aide using personal care and patient monitoring skills. This permanent, full-time position is performed onsite.
This Health Care Aide position requires one to less than two years of experience and secondary school graduation. You will support patients in a nursing home or home for the aged. Daily work includes personal care, vital signs, meals, mobility, room maintenance, and emergency first aid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bathe, dress, groom, and provide personal care
- Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Serve meal trays and feed patients
- Weigh, lift, turn, position, and transport patients
- Answer call signals and administer emergency first aid
Requirements:
- Secondary school graduation certificate
- One year to less than two years' experience
- First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
- Valid driver's licence and criminal record check
- Ability to perform physically demanding work onsite
