Lead underground development at Lake Shore Gold in Timmins, operating a manual jumbo and guiding safe drilling rounds. Full-time work follows rotating day and night shifts.
Development Miners join three-person crews at Timmins West Mine or Bell Creek Mine. The work includes reading prints, drilling, bolting, mucking, loading, and blasting through the complete development cycle. Jumbo Operators lead crews, while Bolters install ground support using bolting equipment, jacklegs, and stopers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead three-person crews through underground development cycles
- Read and interpret prints for development work
- Operate manual jumbos and complete drilling rounds
- Operate scoops to muck headings and load trucks
- Follow Ontario regulations and site safety procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum five years underground development mining experience
- Development tickets for jumbo, bolting, scoop, and blasting
- Ontario underground miner modules or willingness to obtain them
- Proficiency with jacklegs and stopers
- Strong communication, leadership, reliability, and work ethic
