Lead new product introduction at L3Harris in Waterdown, Ontario, using project management and manufacturing expertise. Coordinate cross-functional operations activities supporting mission-critical defense technology. This Specialist Operations Project Engineer manages NPI projects and product launches across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams. The position develops project plans, tracks schedules and budgets, manages risks, and supports manufacturability and scalability. It also provides technical guidance for IRAD, customer-funded NRE, and non-standard configurations. Key Responsibilities:
Lead NPI projects and ensure timely deliverable execution Develop schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and project plans Monitor risks, issues, progress, estimates, and earned value reporting Facilitate readiness reviews for low-rate and full-rate production Drive product targets, continuous improvement, and technical issue closure Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum four years’ relevant experience Knowledge of operations and manufacturing environments Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project, MRP, Confluence, or JIRA Strong analytical, planning, communication, and leadership skills PMP, P.Eng, Lean Greenbelt, or Six Sigma certification assets Apply project leadership, manufacturing knowledge, and analytical decision-making to deliver successful product launches at L3Harris.
