This experienced Equine RVT role supports diverse equine cases in a state-of-the-art referral and emergency hospital. You will provide nursing care, assist with examinations and procedures, and perform technical tasks including blood draws and IV catheter placement. The position also involves hospitalized patients, diagnostics, surgery, anesthesia, and emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized equine patients
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and emergencies
- Safely handle and restrain horses
- Perform blood draws, catheter placement, and fluid therapy
- Maintain accurate records using EzyVet and VetRadar
Requirements:
- RVT registration in good standing with the OAVT
- Previous equine or large animal experience
- Strong equine handling and restraint skills
- Strong technical and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
