Canada Rail, a joint venture between Keolis Canada and SNCF Voyageurs, combines the expertise of Keolis, a global leader in public transport, with the international experience of SNCF Voyageurs in passenger rail transport. Together, they leverage practical knowledge gained from operating passenger rail lines worldwide. Keolis Canada is a major player in developing innovative mobility solutions focused on passengers and adapted to the evolving needs of travellers and local communities. Its diverse portfolio includes rail transport, intercity and urban transport, trams, electric autonomous shuttles, and airport transport.

For over 20 years, Keolis Canada has established itself as a key player in mobility in Canada, operating bus, coach, and tram networks in major cities such as Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Kitchener, and Ottawa. As a member of the Keolis group – 70% owned by SNCF and 30% by the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) – we benefit from the support of a network of 70,000 employees across 13 countries and generate a revenue of 7 billion euros (11 billion Canadian dollars).

SNCF Voyageurs is a subsidiary of the SNCF group that covers the entire travel chain, from sales and transport to maintenance and security, placing the customer at the heart of its concerns in France and Europe. With over 80 years of experience, SNCF Voyageurs operates under several commercial brands, each targeting a specific segment of the rail market. SNCF Voyageurs transports more than 5 million passengers daily and operates 15,000 trains per day, with approximately 67,000 employees. Its revenue reached 20 billion euros (31 billion Canadian dollars) in 2024.

SNCF Voyageurs aims to provide safe, accessible, and efficient transport for travellers while promoting ecological transition through rail. It operates high-speed services in France and Europe, long-distance trains, regional services, and international high-speed services with Eurostar and Thalys (part of the Eurostar group) or Lyria.

Keolis Canada is proud to participate in the Alto high-speed train project, connecting Quebec City to Toronto, as an experienced partner in the Cadence consortium. This consortium, composed of CDPQ Infra, AtkinsRéalis, SYSTRA Canada, and Air Canada, was selected by the Canadian government to develop this project following a rigorous bidding process. With our expertise, we will contribute to this flagship project that will revolutionise mobility in Canada for future generations.
