This Senior Tax Accountant supports corporate and owner-managed business clients. The work combines bookkeeping review, full-cycle accounting, CRA matters, and client payment processes. You will collaborate with CPA leadership, operations staff, bookkeepers, and external resources while managing accounting matters independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review bookkeeping files for accuracy and account classification
- Prepare year-end working papers and corporate tax returns
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Manage routine CRA correspondence and account inquiries
- Review client payments, payables, and remittance deadlines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA designation, active enrollment, or equivalent public-practice experience preferred
- Approximately 3–7+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with Canadian corporate tax and year-end files
- Strong organizational skills and independent deadline management
