Lead complex electrical equipment designs in Edmonton with PTC Creo, coordinating production-ready layouts for data center and mission-critical applications. As Silent-Aire’s Senior Electrical Equipment Designer, you will own electrical design execution within Equipment Design Engineering. Apply CEC, NEC, UL, and CSA standards while coordinating mechanical integration, manufacturability, safety, and drawing quality. Support OEM equipment designs including power distribution, control panels, enclosures, conduit routing, grounding, cable management, and wire harnesses. Work independently with approved tools, document controls, and revision processes, while mentoring junior designers and resolving manufacturing issues. Key Responsibilities:
Lead complex electrical layouts and detailed production drawings Coordinate clash-free integration with mechanical designers and engineers Conduct design reviews, DXF overlays, and drawing quality checks Investigate manufacturing issues, NCRs, and field feedback Develop electrical standards, templates, and best practices Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education and experience Five-plus years in equipment design, manufacturing engineering, or DFM Proficiency in PTC Creo and working knowledge of Windchill PLM and SAP Working knowledge of CEC, NEC, UL, and CSA standards Wire harness development, documentation, and production support experience Bring senior electrical design ownership, code knowledge, and manufacturing expertise to Silent-Aire’s Edmonton engineering team.
