Multi-process welding and custom fabrication define this industrial manufacturing position. Work with steel, iron, and heavy metals in a permanent 40-hour schedule.
As a Welder-Assembler, you will perform custom fabrication and factory assembly while using multiple welding techniques. The work includes oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, flux core, plasma arc, submerged arc, electroslag, fusion, and multipass welding. The environment may be confined, dusty, hot, noisy, and dirty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine material weldability before completing assigned welding work
- Perform oxy-acetylene, GMAW, FCAW, PAW, and SAW welding
- Complete electroslag, fusion welds, and multipass welding
- Operate arc, brazing, resistance, and soldering machines
- Produce custom-fabricated and factory-assembled metal components
Requirements:
- Other trades certificate or diploma
- Three to less than five years of experience
- Experience working with steel, iron, and heavy metals
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail in repetitive, physically demanding work
