The Custodian 1 maintains Board buildings for students, staff, and visitors. This temporary, full-time position works 40 hours weekly from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Duties include routine cleaning and related tasks supporting a healthy environment, with cleaning equipment, safety procedures, and physical work central to the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning throughout the Board's buildings
- Complete related tasks supporting safe, clean environments
- Use cleaning materials and equipment efficiently
- Perform medium to heavy physical labor with assistance
Requirements:
- High School diploma or general degree (GED)
- Current WHMIS certificate
- Ability to interpret safety and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Physical ability to perform medium to heavy work tasks
