Our client is a mission-driven national organization looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their technology team.
This role is ideal for a senior cloud professional who enjoys being hands-on with Microsoft technologies while also contributing to cloud strategy, architecture, security, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with architects, business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams, you will help design, implement, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud environments that support organizational objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing Design, implement, and administer cloud infrastructure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Manage and optimize Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
Support Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies, including identity, endpoint management, collaboration, and security platforms.
Implement automation, monitoring, and process improvements to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate technology solutions and align cloud services with business requirements.
Assist with cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and governance initiatives.
Support cloud operations, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and ongoing platform maintenance.
Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures.
Contribute to cloud, infrastructure, data, and digital workplace roadmaps.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and project stakeholders.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of cloud engineering and administration experience.3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Expertise supporting Microsoft technologies including: Entra ID (Azure AD)Intune Microsoft Defender Exchange Online Share Point Online Microsoft Teams Power Platform Microsoft Purview Microsoft Copilot Experience managing Azure infrastructure, networking, storage, and disaster recovery services.
Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, governance, and best practices.
Experience with scripting, automation, and solution development.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and cloud-based ecosystems.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
