Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Planning Analyst / Short-Term Planner to support our Distribution Operations team. This role is responsible for creating and executing short-term labor and production plans by analyzing daily sales forecasts and inbound/outbound volumes. The analyst will coordinate with Operations, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between capacity and demand, while maintaining operational efficiency and budget discipline.

In addition to planning, this role is accountable for coordinating the daily flow of goods—from receiving to delivery—ensuring seamless execution across departments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operational Coordination: Coordinate the daily operations of inbound, receiving and outbound deliveries across departments, ensuring timely and efficient product flow within distribution facilities.
  • Prioritization of Operation: Prioritize inbound POs and outbound store orders based on input from the Demand Planning and Allocation teams, ensuring high-demand items are processed and shipped on time.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between Transportation, Distribution, and Supply Chain teams to ensure that plans are aligned, achievable, and in sync with operational capabilities.
  • SLA & Business Alignment: Ensure daily plans support service level agreements (SLAs), operational KPIs, and overall business goals. Identify and escalate risks to execution and recommend corrective actions.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Execute plans that respect labor and transportation budgets, with a direct focus on cost-effectiveness and minimizing the impact on the operations and transportation P&L.
  • Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Track plan execution vs. actual performance; analyze variances, identify root causes, and propose improvements to drive operational efficiency and service excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in supply chain planning, operations analysis, or production scheduling in a distribution environment.
