This Electrical Designer reports to the Electrical Design Supervisor within Prodomax's specialized industrial engineering firm. The role includes component specifications, safety architecture, load calculations, and electrical documentation. Level depends on your skills and experience, from junior through senior responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design automated PLC control systems using AutoCAD Electrical and Eplan
- Prepare safety layouts, load calculations, and Bills of Materials
- Validate system safeties and support floor-level design changes
- Coordinate with disciplines, customers, suppliers, and project teams
- Order electrical materials through an ERP program
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or engineering technologist or technician credential
- PLC architecture knowledge, including discrete and remote I/O
- Communication networks knowledge, including Ethernet IP and Profibus
- AutoCAD knowledge, with AutoCAD Electrical preferred
- Experience requirements range from entry level to eight years
