ASSISTANT MANAGER
LOCATION: NORTH BATTLEFORD, SK
JAY'S TRANSPORTATION GROUP LTD. is a subsidiary of The Mullen Group and is one of the largest household moving, storage and freight transportation companies in Saskatchewan.
We provide direct freight service to over 550 locations in the province.
As an agent for Atlas Van Lines, our Moving Division offers local and long distance moving services.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Branch Manager with all day-to-day operations
- Lead and supervise employees, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Coordinate dispatch, claims, OS&D, and other operational activities
- Complete administrative duties and required reports within established deadlines
- Collaborate with the manager to ensure customer satisfaction and support new business development within the household moving division
- Promote and enforce health and safety standards while leading by example
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of trucks and equipment in coordination with the shop
- Build and maintain community relationships to promote the companys image and corporate sponsorships
Qualifications
- Motivated, customer-focused individual with leadership potential
- Management and sales experience an asset (training provided)
- Valid Class 5 SK drivers license
- Basic computer and strong communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to operational needs (flexible hours and days as required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
