Lead fraud investigations at Wealthsimple, coaching investigators and resolving complex account takeovers, payment fraud, and digital asset cases in a hybrid team. As Team Lead, you will manage a pod of Fraud Investigators within Wealthsimple’s Security & Risk group. You will guide daily operations, maintain case-closure Service Level Agreements, and protect investigative quality. The work spans fraud typologies, financial ledgers, transaction metadata, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations for a pod of Fraud Investigators
- Conduct 1:1s, side-by-sides, coaching, and calibration sessions
- Oversee complex queues and maintain case-closure Service Level Agreements
- Escalate and resolve ambiguous or high-dollar investigations
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Product on automated defenses
Requirements:
- Three or more years of backend fraud investigations experience
- Experience with banking, payments, account takeovers, or digital assets
- Track record mentoring, coaching, or leading peers
- Deep understanding of fraud typologies and financial ledgers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Apply fraud investigation leadership, decisive judgment, and detailed coaching to strengthen Wealthsimple’s defenses against evolving financial crime.
