Mechanical Construction Superintendent Data Center

Lead mechanical construction for IREN's 30 MW liquid-cooled AI data center in Canal Flats, using commissioning expertise and multi-trade supervision. This camp-based role follows a 14&7 rotation.

As Construction Superintendent – Mechanical, you will own cooling-side construction across chilled water plants, liquid cooling loops, CDUs, cooling towers, pumps, piping, and HVAC systems. You will report to the Construction Manager while directing General Foremen across day and night crews. The work requires interpreting design documents, coordinating contractors, and integrating mechanical systems with electrical, civil, and IT/network teams. Reliability, quality, safety, scheduling, and structured turnover remain central throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage mechanical construction planning, execution, and delivery
• Direct pipefitting, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, insulation, and millwright trades
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and General Foremen
• Oversee testing, flushing, chemical treatment, balancing, startup, and commissioning
• Provide progress, manpower, challenge, and solution updates

Requirements:

• Seven-plus years managing mechanical construction on heavy industrial or mission-critical projects
• Three-plus years in superintendent or senior field leadership roles
• Experience with chilled water, liquid cooling, pumps, towers, piping, and HVAC
• Commissioning experience including pressure testing, walkdowns, punch, RFSU, and turnover
• Ability to work Canal Flats 14&7 rotations with night coverage
