Electrical QA/QC Field Inspectors in Mackenzie verify critical installations, testing, and records across IREN's AI infrastructure projects. Work on-site within a 14&7 camp rotation.
This position supports the Mackenzie Air-Cooled Project and upcoming Optimization Project at IREN's operating data center. Reporting to the discipline Superintendent, you inspect electrical work against engineered designs, codes, standards, and the Quality Management System. You also coordinate with contractor QA/QC teams, control quality records, and support commissioning through handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, and PDUs
- Verify busway, cable tray, conduit, terminations, grounding, and controls
- Witness electrical testing, calibration, results, hold points, and witness points
- Track NCRs, corrective actions, retesting, and turnover documentation
- Provide daily reports and weekly quality metrics to the Superintendent
Requirements:
- Eight-plus years' industrial electrical construction experience
- Two-plus years' experience in QA/QC inspection
- Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, CSA Z462, CSA, IEEE, and NETA standards
- Ability to read single-lines, schematics, and cable schedules
- Availability for Mackenzie's 14&7 camp rotation and day or night shifts
