Design embedded software onsite in Ottawa with C/C++, microcontrollers, SoCs, and hardware bring-up for AttoTude's next-generation products.
AttoTude seeks a Firmware Engineer for a new full-time position. You will develop robust firmware across embedded platforms, collaborate with electrical engineers, and support cross-functional product delivery. The work emphasizes low-level programming, device drivers, RTOS or bare-metal integration, validation, and debugging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers and SoCs
- Implement drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and CAN
- Integrate RTOS or bare-metal firmware configurations
- Perform board bring-up and hardware validation
- Debug firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Five or more years of embedded firmware development experience
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V, or similar architectures
- Familiarity with RTOS, bare-metal programming, Git, and CI/CD
