This Operations Supervisor oversees hourly employees, including lead hands, operators, and labourers. The position coordinates scheduling, task assignments, performance management, safety training, and daily yard activities. It also supports efficient shredder and mobile equipment operation, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct yard staff training, scheduling, assignments, and performance management
- Supervise operators, maintenance personnel, torch cutters, and inspectors
- Maintain safety programs, meetings, observations, and Enablon records
- Maximize freight utilization across trucks and railcars
- Create production metrics and support processing goals
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of leadership experience
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong planning, organization, leadership, and communication skills
- Willingness to work varied shifts, weekends, and required protective equipment
